“Very little food,no onsite restaurants. No pots or pans, cups plates etc in cabinet rooms so bring your own if getting kitchenette.Nice rooms with well stocked hygienic amenities, towels.Need firewood too.Can purchase at guest check in but usually out.Cool homes and classes all day Friday and Saturday.Has pools and ponds to swim as well as horseback and fishing. Can see stars at night…has barbecue grills at each cabin.”
“We stayed in a pet friendly cabin with a park view. The location was great, the cabin was remodeled, mostly clean, and everything worked! Things to note: the kitchen is not stocked. BYO forks, spoons, plates, cups and bowls. Not a big deal, we either had most of that or went to town to get it. Next, both the horseback riding and restaurant was permanently closed. I can’t emphasize enough what a difference it would have made to have the restaurant open… would have made this review a 5 star review. The gift shop and nature center were really great, like a mini bass pro with live and stuffed animals. We were also able to rent a golf cart at the lodge for $60 for the day and had fun driving it all over. Kayaking with the kids for $6 each was also a hit! All in all it was a great weekend!”
“Cabin was very nice. Seemed upscale like 3-4 star hotel, not a basic place. Comes with linens, but no cookware. Has cooktop/oven, microwave, drip coffee maker and regular-sized fridge... bring own ice trays, plus Direct TV above "fireplace". Outside was a picnic table, BBQ and fire pit with several chairs. (No wi-fi near cabins, but wasn't expecting it; cell service bounced between 4Glte and 5G, both at 4+ bars, or satellite).”
“This is a beautiful modern building at the top of the hill. It is now the new location of the park office. Somewhat of an inconvenient relocation. Magnificent back patio. It would be nice to have some fire pits out there though So many cabins! And many are original however apparently they don't have any amenities so you have to bring everything As nice as everything is, it's still missing the finishing touches. The gift shop isn't even open in the lobby. There's hardly anybody there. Beautiful table in the lobby and nice areas to sit out on the back patio but there's no restaurant, no food, really nothing to do there but sit ”
